The second largest nation in the Caribbean with a 48,442 Km² territory, Dominican Republic occupies the eastern two-thirds of the island of Santo Domingo (also called Hispaniola) in the Greater Antilles. It's situated in the heart of the Caribbean region, between the Atlantic Ocean at north and Caribbean Sea at south.
